I just wanted to throw a quick blog post up to brag about an opportunity I had recently to meet the great Dan Rather. For those of you who do not know who Mr. Rather is, he is a famous American journalist and the former anchor of CBS Evening News.
I met him after he spoke at Lake Dallas High School on Aug. 1.
I've met quite a few famous people — sports figures, movie stars, etc. — and you always wonder how they are going to treat you. I was thoroughly impressed with Mr. Rather. We spoke for a good five minutes about journalism and, as you can see from the picture, he clearly has a great sense of humor.
