Countless social media posts have popped up lately in my feed from friends and family who are challenging themselves and others to read more books in 2023.
The challenges I've seen suggest reading one book per month through the end of the year. Some want recommendations for books with shocking twists and unexpected endings. Others are more interested in motivational, business, or personal-growth books.
Regardless, it's clear everyone wants to curl up with a good old-fashioned book to engage their curiosity, spark their imagination, become immersed in a cool story, and learn a thing or two. And trust me when I say – I am here for all of it!!!
We should all be reading a minimum of 12 books a year! And since people are asking for recommendations, it's only fitting that I suggest my absolute favorite!
Yes, you guessed it ... Write Like You Mean It: Mastering Your Passion For The Written Word.
Granted, I'm a tad partial to this particular book since I wrote it. And naturally, I want everyone to read it, too! But my motives come from a good place. There are countless benefits of reading a good book, with a few of my favorites being:
* Vocabulary enhancements (learning new words is cool!)
* Improving focus and concentration
* Better writing skills

How can you get your hands on Write Like You Mean It?
With Write Like You Mean It, I want to walk alongside other esteemed authors who have written about the wide, wonderful world of writing and how to be better at it. I want to earn my place at the proverbial writer's table with them and talk about the world of writing from my own experiences. I want to expand upon the conversations they started, speak to all writers, and share what I’ve learned on my journey to mastering my passion for the written word.
