Why Host a Business Mixer?
The answer is simple: It's the holiday season. I've been hosting writing workshops since January, and while I considered continuing them through November and December, I knew there would be a slew of parties and mixers as we inch toward the end of the year and didn't want any of my attendees to have to sit in a classroom when they could be partying.
More importantly, this mixer is a chance to say thank you. I've received tremendous support for my workshops, and why not end the year with a massive shindig?!
That said ... there is a theme to this party: Storytelling.
I believe every person, business, and nonprofit has a story to tell. Sometimes, getting that story out of your head for everyone to hear can be hard, and that's where having a collection of professional storytellers in your corner (writers, photographers, videographers, website designers, graphic design artists, and more) can really help.
You'll hear from a few of those storytellers at the party. You'll also hear from a few business owners who are prime examples of what quality storytelling can do for your business.
