Event Reschedule: Steve Gamel Writing Workshops, Class No. 11

If you were looking forward to tonight's first "Steve Gamel Writing Workshops" event of 2025, you'll have to wait one more week. Due to winter weather and the possibility of treacherous road conditions, we've decided to push this workshop to next Thursday (Jan. 16).

This is NOT a cancellation. We are simply rescheduling–and that's the best news of all. You have an extra week to get this on your calendars and invite your staff and friends to join us!

Thank you to our sponsor, PointBank. This local business truly understands the importance of writing, writers, education, sharing stories, and connecting with the community. Thank you for partnering with me to promote these workshops. I invite everyone to register using the QR code in the image at the top of this blog post. And, of course, the topic is still the same ...

Secrets to Time Management for Writers (Smarter, Faster Ways To Go From Pen to Paid).

Why Attend Writing Workshops?

I've always believed the worst thing any professional writer can do is spend decades perfecting their craft, only to keep their trade secrets, tips, tricks, and life hacks to themselves. We should educate and inspire the next generation, relying on our successes and failures to share what works, what doesn't, and how to steer others in the right direction.

It's the reason I wrote my book, Write Like You Mean It: Mastering Your Passion for the Written Word, and it's the reason I've started these writing workshops.

Workshops are held on the second Thursday of each month (except this month, of course), and the topics will change each time. The first workshop for 2025 is all about time management tips for writers. As a writer, you must improve your time management skills. This is true regardless of whether your goal is to write a novel, write for a local newspaper or magazine, or start your own writing business.

Time management strategies should be perfected over time, and I've learned quite a few of them as a professional writer and author for the past 27 years.

From preaching the importance of using a calendar to thinking outside the box on "office hours" and where you can maximize downtime, I've got plenty to share.

These writing workshops are in-person events only, and space is limited. So, if you're interested in joining us, please don't wait until the last minute. Everything you need to know is in the image above. The cost is $59 per person. The cost covers light snacks, an excellent presentation, Q&A time, and networking.

I will also have copies of my book available for purchase.

I can't wait to see you on Jan. 16.

Thank you for reading!
