When I started the monthly "Steve Gamel Writing Workshops" series last year, my goal was to incorporate a slate of topics, tips and tricks, and discussion points that would benefit anyone.
Sure, we're building a community of writers and editors. We're doing a bang-up job, too! That said, these classes are just as much for teachers, students, business leaders and their teams, and anyone else who simply wants to communicate better.
Simply put, these workshops are for everyone!
And I gotta tell ya ... it means the world to me when someone who doesn't fancy themselves as a writer shows up, engages with the group, and says, "I'm really glad I came!"
I sincerely hope you feel the same way about my next workshop! That's right—registration is open for my Feb. 13 workshop, and it's going to be a doozy.
Business Writing Made Easy: Words That Mean Business
(Thank you to our sponsor, PointBank)
It's Important To Learn the 'How' and 'Why' Behind Writing Engaging Business Copy
Writing for business is so much more than just stringing a few fancy words together, sending out a directive to your team, or writing a boring list of instructions. It is about communicating with purpose and inspiring action through strategic yet authentic storytelling. It's also about building trust and driving decisions.
And it touches everything. It could be the big stuff like proposals, contracts, reports, and job descriptions. But it's also the day-to-day stuff like social media posts, emails, replying to a negative review, and marketing content (blogs, white papers, newsletters, etc.).
With any one of these, you could inspire your audience or lose them altogether.
It's really that simple (or hard).
My goal with this next workshop is to help attendees understand the importance of business writing, talk through their struggles, and then offer practical solutions to simplify what they're doing, communicate effectively, and craft content that hits the right tone and delivers results.
These writing workshops are in-person events only, and space is limited. So, if you're interested in joining us, please don't wait until the last minute.
The QR code to register is in the image above. The cost is $59 per person. The cost covers light snacks, an excellent presentation, Q&A time, and networking.
I will also have copies of my book available for purchase.
Why Attend Writing Workshops?
I've always believed the worst thing any professional writer or editor can do is spend decades perfecting their craft, only to keep their trade secrets, tips, tricks, and life hacks to themselves. We should educate and inspire the next generation, relying on our successes and failures to share what works, what doesn't, and how to steer others in the right direction.
It's the reason I wrote my book, Write Like You Mean It: Mastering Your Passion for the Written Word, and it's the reason I've started these writing workshops.Â
Workshops are on the second Thursday of each month, and the topics will change each time. I can't wait to see you on Feb. 13.
